Geneva Institute for Leadership & Public Policy

Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy
The Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy (GILPP) was established by GHNI to help leaders transform their nations toward prosperity and liberty. The vision for the GILPP is to promote public policy created by enlightened and compassionate public leadership. The principal international initiative of this newly created institute is to offer an intensive week-long summer workshop in Geneva, Switzerland on critical contemporary global and national issues.
The Institute will provide to policy makers more tools on policy research and development, model legislation, regional trends, the GILPP Think Tank resources and a broader network of policy makers. Policy makers will engage top leaders in discussing global trends in economics, public policy, and transformational leadership. GHNI will selectively invite leaders from emerging nations where it currently engages in relief and development projects.
The 2012 GILPP Conference:
Global Hope Network International will host its third Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy the summer of 2012.
Theme: Post Conflict Leadership and Public Policy in a Changing World.
Speakers: Leaders from several continents with experience in Post Conflict rebuilding of their countries.
Location: GHNI Conference grounds in France, right outside Geneva (Fly into GVA. From there we will drive to the conference grounds)
Dates:
- Ministers, Deputy Ministers and other Administration Officials: 23-26 June 2012 (Arrive on 22, Depart on 26)
- Elected Officials and emerging leaders: 24-27 June 2012 (Arrive morning of 24, Depart on 28)
Through discussion and guest lectures, this conference will provide you with proven examples of public policy in a changing world and legislation that are already showing pragmatic and fruitful results. The program sessions will help leaders return to their nations with transformational ideas for shaping public policy goals, as well as more effective strategies in implementing policy.
This conference will:
- Start long-term relationships with the delegates via follow up relationship building;
- Provide conferees access to a virtual community that offers various model legislation and will continue to support them in services such as leadership development & public policy resources; and
- Offer consulting support from staff and speakers introduced during the conference, as well as GHNI consultation visits.
In short, the leadership and public policy focus of this initiative is designed to assist policy makers by connecting them with other leaders, and with international agencies and organizations located in the unique city of Geneva. The conference will provide actual examples or models of public policy and legislation that are already helping to achieve the goals of nation building.
Who can attend this conference?
We are inviting existing public policy makers and emerging leaders especially from Asia, Middle East and Africa. We are also inviting our partners who are nominating them. We are mainly trying to reach people from 35 to 45 years of age who are already involved in public policy, as they will someday have a broad sphere of influence.
English or French fluency, unless you bring a translator.
We are expecting to welcome approximately 40 participants for this event coming from, inter alia, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Afghanistan, Jordan, Ethiopia, Malawi, Nigeria, etc. One of the purposes of the institute is to develop and maintain good relationships with the leaders of the countries where GHNI works.
Participation Certificates will be awarded to all who attend and complete the sessions.
