In Attakasikro, the rewards of Transformational Community Development (TCD) are evident all around the village. When we got to the village earlier in the month, we couldn’t help but notice how clean and organized the village was. The Health Committee Chairman informed us that the committee carried out village-wide sensitisation with the support of the Chief for locals to keep their surroundings clean. Now, more people from other villages come to visit and some have come to stay, this is evidenced by new buildings springing up.

For now, the school building project has stopped as many of the locals have gone back to their farms with the onset of the rain. We spoke with the Education Committee Chairman who wasn’t very pleased with the pace of work but is hopeful that the work will progress soon after the planting season.
