Meet the Hiker Jeff and Beth Latsa

Jeff and Beth Latsa have served with Global Hope Network International since 2003, where Jeff is Field Strategy Coordinator and Regional Field Leader for Central Asia. Together, they will be leading the Hike4Hope25 team up Mt. Kilimanjaro in October 2025 to raise funds and awareness for GHNI’s work around the world.

Jeff and Beth first met while working in Yellowstone National Park in 1982, and over the years have raised four children while living overseas most of their adult lives. Though life kept them busy, they enjoyed family hikes in places like Yosemite—and Jeff’s memorable Grand Canyon trek with his teenage sons. More recently, they’ve reignited their passion for hiking, completing an 8-day trek along Nepal’s Annapurna Circuit.

This year, they stepped in as last-minute replacements for another couple—accepting the challenge with less than three months to prepare. As Jeff puts it, “It’s not about the hike. What I’m excited about is how this small trailblazing team has the potential to raise up to $100,000 to help start Transformational Community Development in some of the most needy villages around the world.”
