A Delicious Route to Health
April 3, 2024

In our meeting with the committee members in Debipur Village, we discussed hygiene and healthy food. In the first week of February, I was engaged in Dumka with the Transformational Community Development (TCD) team, who visited from abroad. On day one, we spent time with the community in Dhoker Jhara Village, where we held a sports day for children, men, and women. It was a very good interaction time with the villagers, and they too enjoyed it a lot. Two new classrooms were inaugurated. We also had a brief meeting with the community leaders, who came from different villages.
On the second day, we held an agricultural lesson in Chigalpahari Village. During the lesson, we included information on eating a balanced diet. Around 100 families were then given three types of fruit plants. On the third day, we held the same lessons in Indrabani Village, and another 100 families were given the fruit plants.
The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness about balanced food and nutrition among villagers and encourage them to plant their own fruit trees to get nutrition at home.
Thank you,
