In Khar Nan Thit Village, recent development training sessions for both men and women have highlighted a significant shift in community leadership dynamics. While the men of the village are primarily focused on the daily struggle for family survival—often placing development activities as a secondary priority—the women have emerged as the true catalysts for change. As the primary managers of household affairs, these women directly confront the harsh realities of financial scarcity and the limitations of their current environment. This first-hand experience has sharpened their vision, allowing them to see the stagnation of their community and the low quality of life more clearly than anyone else. Driven by a fierce determination to secure a better future for their children and a desire to rise above the social marginalization they often face, the inner strength of these women has become a powerful, untapped resource for the village’s progress.

Recognizing that women are the natural financial managers of their homes, the “Basic Financial Stewardship” training was conducted with great success. The overwhelming enthusiasm and active participation of the women led to a significant breakthrough in their understanding of resource management. Their profound interest suggests that investing in women’s empowerment is the most effective strategy for achieving sustainable community results. With a firm belief that these women are being called to greater purpose, it is envisioned that their leadership will drive the Transformational Community Development (TCD) process to new heights. Through their dedication, Khar Nan Thit Village is well on its way to becoming a model community of resilience and transformation.
