A young man in the neighboring village of Bupe, three kilometers away from Nhoma Village, paid a visit to the village and witnessed firsthand the ongoing changes occurring through Transformational Community Development (TCD). He spoke to the local TCD champion, Paul, of his interest in having TCD introduced in his village.

The young man learned that initially Nhoma had almost no suitable toilets, agricultural improvements were limited, and development only occurred through external interventions. He was impressed that the villagers now spearhead projects themselves, with the intention of improving their lives without waiting for others to get them started. This was a testament to TCD’s model of sustainable development through education and empowerment.
