Transformation Crusaders Assemble
August 15, 2022
Transformational Community Development (TCD) activities in Ahumbe Village have been geared towards consolidating all the work already accomplished.
Women learnt a variety of crafts at the Tailoring Centre and school-aged children were reminded about personal hygiene, with focus on proper hand washing. Our TCD worker didn’t relent as he taught another hygiene lesson focussed on oral hygiene, where he showed pupils the proper way to brush their teeth.
These activities have impacted many households! These children have now become transformation crusaders. There are plans underway to have more community-wide engagements to ensure sustainable developments.
Transformational Community Development (TCD) Update
Wellness
People did not have the habit of going to the doctor. TCD teaching brought changes in their lives. Children receive vaccines regularly. Pregnant women started to go for a health check-up. People from the community report regularly for check-ups.
Income Generation
We have always focussed our TCD teaching to help families be self-sustainable. People used to hope to get help from other organisations and start something. Four people finished Entrepreneur Leadership Development (ELD) training and want to start their own businesses.
Thank you!
