Giving Hope and Life
December 2, 2022
Our clinic recently received 52 patients. Each had different issues, such as chronic diseases, joint pain, anemia, otitis media, bronchitis, and others.
Soraya* is a single, 60-year-old Jordanian woman who suffers from diabetes, hypertension, and cervical disc herniation. She retired 20 years ago and lives alone. The doctor encouraged her to lose weight, exercise, and eat a healthy diet.
Alia* is 46, married, and the mother of eight children. She complained of increased thyroid activity, swelling in the legs, ulcers in the stomach, and GERD. She is now being treated with thyroid hormones. The doctor advised her to follow a diet, drink plenty of water, and reduce her intake of salty foods.
Last week, three women completed the sewing training course. Through the Transformational Community Development (TCD) course, they learned the basics of sewing, including using scissors and measuring, repairing and designing clothes, and maintaining sewing machines. We will start a new workshop next week.
There are 17 students of different ages in the English and computer classes. They took an English assessment test, and over the past few weeks, they have learned to introduce themselves along with the colors and names of fruits.
Through the mosaic workshop, the ladies continue to learn the art of mosaic. A new student registered in this workshop, and during the past two weeks she has learned both drawing and division.
Thank you!
