Shaima* is leading our school in our Transformational Community Development (TCD) village. A few years ago, when we came to this village, there was no school and even parents never thought that their children would be able to attend school in their life. They themselves had never been to school. When we started to talk about the school in community meetings, no one was ready to take it seriously because they thought it would never happen in their community. They never dared to dream of a school for their kids.

When we started the school, another challenge was about the kids. No one was ready to attend the class, but the school teacher, Shaima, did a wonderful job. We started our school from class one. We are so thankful, because now we have classes 1 to 4. Many changes happened. For example, kids can read books, can speak a little English, and their confidence has grown. Now the villagers have a dream for their kids to get higher education. Shaima has a passion that everyone can get a good education and that they can learn and grow.
