From Ɖorgovska mahala, which is our model village, we regularly visit settlements in Zaguzanje and Surdulica. We started working with women and have weekly meetings. People are very open and want to see changes in their lives and their neighborhoods. The Roma people lack education, and they want development in physical, emotional, mental, and social areas.

Danilo is 27 years old, and he regularly comes to our meetings. He lives in a neighborhood called Gornja mahala, where about 300–400 people live. He wants to learn about health, disease prevention, nutrition, and developing an entrepreneurial business. He wants to pass everything he learns on to his neighbors. He is satisfied that Transformational Community Development (TCD) covers so many areas and wants to learn and apply them all to his life.
