In Kassena Point, the Transformational Community Development (TCD) committee on health and sanitation continues to make giant strides. With the ventilated improved pit (VIP) latrines completed and now functioning, the locals are embracing the transformation. The Income Generation and Agriculture committees are actively engaged in working out modalities for farming ginger on the piece of farm land acquired by the locals.
Transformational Community Development (TCD) Update

Food
The locals have acquired a piece of land for the purpose of farming ginger. This initiative is both bringing the community closer to their food source and an opportunity for Income Generation.

Wellness
With the provision of VIP latrines, locals no longer have to carry out open defecation. This will greatly impact health and living conditions.

Income Generation
The committee is setting up the modalities for the ginger farm and how the revenue will be allocated.
Thank you!
