Widow Has Sustainable Hope
July 15, 2024
During this month we have been able to help 10 more families through the goat bank project in different villages, we have given 2 goats to each family. We have signed the agreement with these families. This will be a big transformation for the families as many were struggling because of extreme poverty.
Shanti* is one of our Village Committee members, living in a remote village. Shanti has received the goats. She is active in village development but a few months ago her husband suddenly died and she was very worried about her family. Shanti Said, “Since last year we learned to deal with different and difficult situations. We learned to grow food through the FAITH (Food Always In The Home) Gardens, we started saving money through the SHG (Self Help Group) idea. Now I have goats. It is very encouraging in a bad situation. Through the goats I can save more money for my family and these goats will increase. We are thankful that our village got the opportunities to become self-sustainable and grow.”
Thank you!
