Chasing the Collective Vision
The Shri Ambra community is building long-term change and collectively taking ownership of its future.
For many years, the Shri Ambra community has faced challenges related to livelihood opportunities and basic infrastructure. Limited skills for employment and poor road connectivity have affected daily life and long-term development. These challenges highlighted the need for coordinated, community-led solutions rather than short-term interventions.
Through the Transformational Community Development (TCD) approach, the community has been actively engaging in ongoing development processes. Community members are currently connected with a skill training initiative through the ESAF Foundation, preparing them to gain employable skills and work opportunities. The community has also been voicing its need for upgrading the existing kaccha (unpaved) road, with hopes that it will be developed into a proper road in 2026. During this period, TCD staff have continued to act as encouragers and coaches, supporting discussions, coordination, and community ownership of these initiatives.
With visible construction and training activities still in progress, the community remains hopeful and united. The Shri Ambra people are trusting the process, engaging with systems, and preparing for long-term change. This steady progress reflects the strength of community-led development through TCD, where transformation begins not only with action but also with patience, planning, and a collective vision for a better future.
Thank you,
