A Mother’s Patience Grows
September 1, 2022

Umm Yara, from Shubra El Kheima, is a mother of three very rowdy children, which is especially difficult because their ages are close to each other. “They rebelled against me a lot, and I was comparing my children to their cousins. I did not know the most important truth for my children, but after I heard the lessons at the Transformational Community Development (TCD) meeting, I learnt the true principles of being a mother. I learnt to be positive in rearing my children, to encourage and love them, but at the same time, discipline them with love. I learnt that my actions and my patience are the things that they learn from me, not my words or my teachings to them.”
We continued to present the TCD programme in Shubra El Kheima. In October 2021, we started the development season with about ten children. After 10 months, the class began to grow, and the number of children increased to 50. The Children’s Speech Committee divided the children into three classes, according to their ages. Kids have fun in the classroom and share what they learn.
Thank you!
