Educational Growth For the Community
October 31, 2022
We did door-to-door prevention teaching on water-borne diseases and reached out to 20 families in our Binodpur Village. In early September, we had a teachers’ day and showed a film on cholera prevention. Education is one of the major needs in our community, so to provide quality education, we have started the Joshua Tutoring Centre. This tutoring centre is going well, but this month ten additional students came to be admitted. Sadly, we had to turn them away because we don’t have any more places to sit, so we are trying to enlarge our tutoring centre.
Last month, we found one Transformational Committee Development (TCD) leader in East Midnapore. This month, we introduced him to GHNI and our five key areas of work: Food, Water, Wellness, Education, and Income Generation. We have a meeting with the leader and his team, and in late October we will have finished filling out surveys and casting our vision.
Thank you,
