Lifelong Learning and Care
December 27, 2022
Our clinic received 96 patients in November. Each had different problems, such as chronic diseases, joint pain, anemia, otitis media, and bronchitis. Rachida*, a 52-year-old married Jordanian woman, has three sons and one daughter. She complains of osteoporosis, a prolapsed disc, and a lack of vitamins D and B12. The doctor advised her to eat a variety of healthy foods.
In the beginning of November, we started a new sewing workshop with five women. The women were trained on the basics of using and maintaining sewing machines.
The 17 students in the English course continued to study new words and learn colors. They also learned how to welcome others and introduce themselves, along with completing some educational activities. In the computer course, students learned how to use both office and drawing software. Using the drawing software, they learned to draw the flags of different countries.
New trainees have joined the mosaic workshop and will begin drawing and basic skills training. The other trainees were able to create six new mosaic finished pieces of the tree of life.
A team of three, including the manager of House of Ruth Sameer, Martin, and Dounia, were put together with the intent to visit and care for families. Four families were visited in November, and food parcels were distributed to them.
Adib* is a married Jordanian man with seven children. He works at one of the fuel filling stations and sometimes as a cook. He has a daughter who suffers from brain damage. His financial situation is difficult, and he suffers from pain in the knees. We talked to him, encouraged him, and told him to visit our clinic doctor for his knee pain.
Thank you!
