Gratefulness and Forgiveness
June 26, 2023

We continued the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program. One child, Maharael, participated and later said, “I took a lesson about the role of the mother in the house, and now I know that she gets tired a lot because of me. I learned to repay her labor by helping her. I also learned to listen to her words and help her clean the house. My mother was happy with me and shared with her friends about the change that happened to me. Mama, you are the best mother in the world. Thanks for the beautiful food.”
We continued to present the TCD lessons to women and families in society. One lesson was about sadness and fear of the future, how to get rid of it, how to live happily, and how to challenge difficult circumstances. Umm Bassem said, “I am going through a difficult time in my life. My son’s wife has left the house and wants to separate from him. With many problems, I became burdened with anxiety and was subjected to a lot of pressure. I reached a state of sadness, but then I heard the lesson in the TCD meeting: that I have to accept reality, coexist with it, and share all my worries and problems with those who love me. I also learned that I have to occupy myself with other things so that I do not get tired psychologically. I learned to forgive his wife and even my son and to not allow the feelings of hate to overtake me.”
Thank you,
