Sharing Treasures
June 26, 2023

With the help of a committee, we continue to offer Transformational Community development (TCD) lessons for women and children. The women’s lessons were about giving because, at this time, people are suffering from extreme poverty. Umm Magdy shared, “I learned the lesson that I have to help the needy in the street,” and indeed, despite her difficult financial conditions, she provided simple assistance from what she had. She was very happy to help those in even worse circumstances than her.
As for the children, the lesson was about the love of brothers and sisters. We continued to present the TCD lessons within the framework of our campaign to reduce violence in society and between children. Cyril and Yona reviewed the lessons that the children learned in this context, and Cyril said, “My sister kept crying and used to make me angry, but then I learned here last month about calmness and how to control my anger. I also participated in a lesson about my love for my brothers and sisters. I changed and tried to stop hitting my sister. I bought chocolate for her, and I felt sorry for her because I love her. After the last lesson, which was about loving my sisters, she too started to calm down, and Mama stopped shouting at us.”
Thank you
