Relief For Those in Great Need
December 19, 2023

Shérif is a child from the Transformational Community Development (TCD) children’s group in the village of Bani Mazar. He is known among his community and friends for his difficult attitude and harsh tongue, but we see in Shérif a child who loves to help others, and we see that he is gradually changing to have a different attitude.
Om Ramy from Al Kom Al Ahmar started a goat-raising project to help her family. She gives the milk to her young daughter while she waits for the goats to give birth. Then she will sell the extra milk in the market in order to pay off the loan installment while using the rest for her family.
Relief was provided to refugees from Sudan arriving at the Egyptian border in Aswan. With the psychological needs being greater than the physical needs, the GHNI team conducted psychological counseling visits and spent time with the children to encourage them, distribute food supplies, and console them in their plight.
Three school supply distribution outlets were created to relieve families of school expenses and reduce high prices. Then, more than 200 bags of school supplies were distributed to poor children in TCD groups in 10 villages in Upper Egypt.
