A Mindset of Hope and Encouragement
March 17, 2024
After suffering the loss of their source of livelihood due to a swine virus outbreak, the people of Mawa are taking the initiative to try something new for Income Generation. Four families have taken the lead to partner with GHNI to prepare pens and feed for raising ducks, and 16 other families are in the process of saving funds to participate in this program.
It takes courage to try something brand new, especially with the community’s level of poverty raising the stakes. The GHNI team is encouraged by the resolve of the Mawa community to take control of their livelihoods with a Transformational Community Development (TCD) mindset of hope. We look forward to seeing the realization of the good things in store for Mawa Village in 2024.
Thank you,
