100 Darling Ducks!
April 3, 2024
The Mawa community is finally getting back on their feet! After one of the most difficult economic years in their history, the Mawa people have partnered with GHNI to embark upon a brand new Transformational Community Development (TCD) Income Generation venture—raising ducks!
Now equipped with training and small business skills, each family received a box of 100 baby ducks after they completed the construction of a pen and gathered their portion of the funds. “Next time GHNI partners come to visit, they can expect duck for dinner,” joked one community member. The mood was light as the Mawa people enthusiastically jumped into the next chapter of their journey toward better livelihoods.
Thank you,
