Home-Made Market
July 15, 2024
Marian is a woman from the Transformational Community Development (TCD) women’s group from a village in the Upper Egypt cluster. Marian is married and has a son and a daughter. She took out a loan to start a small business and opened a small market in her home in New Minya. She shared that she had learned in the TCD classes that a wife must support her husband in life, and with her small project developing quickly, she is now able to assist with her household expenses.
Iman Shafani, a woman from the Women’s Group in Ezbat al-Majidi Village of the Upper Egypt cluster, said, “I used to treat my son in a violent and difficult way, and I always said negative things to him in front of others. After the education lecture, I learned ways to encourage and care for him, and I noticed a change in my son’s behavior for the better.”
Thank you,
