Small Gesture Brings Hope
A simple gesture brought a touch of hope and joy to their lives.

180 open-toed summer shoes were distributed to support Sudanese refugees in Cairo in collaboration with the local community as humanitarian assistance. Amidst the distribution that took place in our Transformation and Community Development (TCD) classes, many kind refugee women who recently arrived from Sudan sadly shared that their children did not have any shoes. We immediately provided them with shoes, and the children’s joy was indescribable.
Ahmed participated and said, “Thank you, GHNI. I needed the shoes, as mine were old and torn, and this was causing me embarrassment among my friends.”
This simple gesture brought a touch of hope and joy to their lives, beautifully reflecting the meaning of humanity and solidarity. Initiatives like this confirm that solidarity between people can make a real difference in the lives of others.
Thank you,
