Getting Out and About

Being an introvert can be lonely.

Umm Shahd attends the Transformational Community Development (TCD) group and enjoys it. She shared, “I am an introverted woman who doesn’t like to interact with people. I am known for not visiting anyone and not participating much in community events. When we were given the lesson on introversion and its negative effects, this lesson described my condition because I was lonely because I am introverted. I learned to participate in the TCD group and began having home visits with the TCD worker. I also encouraged my daughter to attend the TCD children’s class, and now I volunteer to serve the village children. I have begun to give space to the people in my life and try to remain positive. This has made a difference in my psychological state with myself and with those around me.”

Thank you,
