More Than Just Play
The sports day offered not just fun, but a powerful message of love, dignity, and belonging.
Under the slogan “We Love You,” a sports day was held for Sudanese refugee children with the aim of providing them with a few moments of joy and warmth amidst their difficult lives. 156 refugee children participated in this special day organized in Ezbit el Haggana, Cairo. The Transformational Community Development (TCD) program included sports, an opportunity to swim and enjoy the water, a full lunch, and a new T-shirt.
The children’s faces shone with smiles and laughter, and they felt a genuine love embracing them and breaking down the walls of suffering. It wasn’t just a recreational activity; it was a humanitarian message telling them, “You matter. We see you, and we love you.”
Amid the cruelty surrounding them, this day was a beacon of hope for children who need compassion before protection. The children left the sports day with warm hearts and unforgettable memories, letting them know that love makes a difference.
Thank you,
