Cooperation Instead of Isolation
One young boy discovers that he matters.
Ziad was a young child living in the village of Taha, in a large extended family whose members rarely met. No one was asking about him or caring about his affairs, so he grew up feeling that his presence didn’t matter to anyone. He was living a life of indifference, not caring about his studies or himself; he preferred to sit alone, away from people, without friends or dreams.
Ziad thought that isolation was valued and that neglect was normal. One day, Ziad attended the Transformational Community Development (TCD) group, and there his story began to change. He learned he has great value, that he is precious, that he is loved and important, and that his existence has meaning, a plan, and a purpose.
Little by little, a light began to enter Ziad’s heart. His view of himself changed, and he began to smile more, speaking confidently. He began to participate with his friends in games, laughed with them, and cooperated instead of isolating. He discovered his abilities and began to achieve success in his studies and in all areas of his life.
Ziad is no longer that forgotten child but has become a child who knows his value and is walking steady steps towards his future. Thus, Ziad learned that change starts from within and that those who know hope can change their whole lives.
Thank you,
