Taking Healthcare on the Road
December 27, 2022
We continued our progress in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) health program, and through the psychological and health lessons offered, a medical convoy was established. Umm Atef said, “I am an old woman. All my bones hurt, and I have a roughness in my knee. After I came to the convoy, I was examined by the doctors, and they told me about my condition and diagnosed my disease. They told me what exercises are appropriate for my condition and the minerals and calcium that the bones need to become strong.” Umm Atef then said that she was very happy with the convoy because she cared about her physical and psychological health. She said, “I am thankful because they provided us with the full treatment of calcium and vitamins, even in light of the difficult and expensive conditions.”
After attending a TCD meeting, one member, Karas, said, “I will protect my eyes from anything that harms them. I was very careless in taking care of my eyes, and my vision was weak, even in class. I never paid attention to it, but after listening to the TCD lesson, I realized I need to take care of my eyes because they see everything. I need to always care about their cleanliness and not look at the very bright lights because they can hurt my eyes. I found out I may need glasses in the future.”
Thank you!
