Managing Anger and Learning Gentleness
February 3, 2023
Our most recent Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons were about anger and its impact on the individual. Marianne said,
“I was a very nervous person in my relationships with others, especially my children and my husband. My blood pressure was always high because of my nervousness. Even little situations bothered me and made me very angry, but after I heard the lesson in the TCD development meeting, my life began to change. In time, I learned to be a calm and patient person in my interactions with my children. Even my husband began to notice the differences in my life, and my lifestyle really began to change. I continued to spend time with my friends, but I had more patience to accept any words from them. My blood pressure even corrected itself, and I began to see a clear change in my life.”
We continue to provide a TCD childrens’ program, and many children shared what they learned and what changed in their lives. Marvina said,
“I learned obedience and to listen to the words of my mother, father, and my teacher.” Mayville said, “I learned to love my sisters when I didn’t love them before.” Stephen said, “I learned not to let bad words out of my mouth and to say thank you.” Karas said, “I used to hit my friends and sisters, and you know that now I am gentle, not violent. I stopped doing that.”
The children also gave thanks for the Christmas gifts of new shoes. Medical examinations for 100 cases of eyes were provided, along with glasses for those who needed them.
Thank you,
