An Education on Education
March 10, 2023

The education system has improved so much in Attir Village. The village had no prior knowledge of the importance of Education. If children were even able to go to school, they ended up dropping out after eighth grade due to a lack of awareness regarding the importance of Education. GHNI shared Transformational Community Development (TCD) in Attir village, and they trained the villagers on the importance of Education. GHNI partnered with locals to support the community by buying all the required materials and paying their school fees until form four (senior year of high school).
The students who did well at the high school level were enrolled in college, and others were enrolled in vocational school, where they were trained in courses like hairdressing and tailoring. Attir is now doing well in terms of Education, and the community is so grateful to have many more skilled men and women. They now have qualified teachers, social workers, engineers, hairdressers, tailors, and more than twenty secondary school (high school) students. Nelly is one of the students who has benefited from the program, and she is performing well. Attir community members are happy and thankful to GHNI for partnering with them to transform their community.
Thank you!
