Furthering Education Together
March 30, 2023

Kiwanjani Village is highly populated, and there are no good schools around. People living in that area are so poor that even providing school fees, uniforms, and food for their children is very difficult. After several visits to the village, we noticed many challenges to Education in Kiwanjani, so we visited a local school in the area called Tulili Primary School, which has a huge number of students in the Kiwanjani area. We have been doing guidance and counseling in the school and teaching the students about the importance of education.
Smith is one of the students who recently finished his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) with an exemplary performance. He was one of the top students in the school, and he was called to join a national high school in Meru, Kenya. Sadly, he was not able to enroll due to a lack of school fees. His mother is a widow, and she is unable to finance Smith’s school needs. During our house-to-house visit, we noticed the need and decided to finance the boy’s school needs, and he is now enrolled at Ngia High School. His mother is very happy and very grateful for the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program.
Thank you!
