Peaceful Relationships
April 30, 2023

We continued to present the lessons of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program. The extent of the lessons’ impact on children can be seen in their dealings with their friends, siblings, and society. Matthew, one of the participants, shared, “I was upset with my older brother because he always hits me because I don’t bring requests for him from the street. After the lesson, we reconciled with each other, and he promised that he would not hit me. I decided to love him and make peace with him.”
We continued teaching TCD to the women’s groups. The topic of our most recent lesson was peace and the importance of living in peace. We must enjoy a life of peace with ourselves and with others. After the lesson, Marcel told her story about a person who stole from her house while she was not there. Marcel explained, “I was very afraid. If the thief comes to my house, but my husband travels a lot, what can I do? I filled myself with peace and removed my thoughts from fear and conflict. I approached reassuring people, and I began to take the decision to fill my heart with peace, reassurance, and encouraging words from friends.”
