The Pursuit of a Milling Machine

In Attakasikro, there’s an obvious shift in mindset towards Transformational Community Development (TCD). Recently, the Income Generation Committee met with Teti. This meeting was in response to the women involved in Palm Oil processing to help improve their procedures in commercial palm oil production. At the meeting, the women requested a palm oil processing unit and a milling machine as loans to the community. The women explained that they currently have to travel about 8 km to mill their grains. Having a milling machine within the community will abate the difficulty. The committee adjourned and decided to get quotes for the machines and court the support of donors to fund the project.
The villagers are now able to suggest many Income Generating ideas and are willing to be involved in the process of birthing these ideas.
