Meeting Psychological and Social Needs
October 17, 2023
Through the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program for women, we provided lessons on raising children, how to be a role model, how to be encouraging, and how to love and be present with their spouses while at home. “I am not interested in only feeding and dressing my children, but I have to participate with my children in their psychological and social needs,” Umm Mina said. “I am always busy with daily housework, and I don’t have time to sit, talk, or play with my children. After the lessons, I made a decision to take care of them and tell them words of encouragement and love.”
During our progress in the TCD lessons for the children’s group, we taught about using kind words and having kind reactions. Maria said, “My reactions and my words are nervous and irritating. Today I learned to think before I speak, to be calm, to work with others, and to say my words positively, so there are no problems between me and others. This has made my relationships more positive.”
Thank you,
