If It Quacks Like a Duck!
December 19, 2023
The Mawa community is working towards increasing their income during a time of hardship. With pig operations decimated due to the ongoing swine virus, GHNI has been working with the village committee to build a duck-raising initiative. GHNI provided training on the proper procedures for constructing and maintaining deep litter pens and how to produce feed using local resources.
This month, the village Transformational Community Development (TCD) committee has been hard at work creating a business plan for duck operations and is enthusiastic to partner with GHNI in this latest attempt to lift themselves out of poverty and keep families together through the provision of an income source in their village.
Thank you,
