Lives of Friendship and Gratitude
December 19, 2023

Thomas participated in one of the lessons presented in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program and said that he was just beginning to study. He shared, “It was difficult for me to choose a friend to spend the rest of the year with and to be with me in everything because friendship is important in our lives. I want to trust him with my secrets and not be alone while studying. After listening to the TCD lesson, I learned how to choose a friend who is close to me in age, someone who is honest, respectful, and sincere in his words, and who can have an understanding between us. After hearing this lesson, I chose a very wonderful friend who meets all the qualities.”
We continued to deliver TCD lessons to the women in the community. Umm Waheed shared the rebelliousness her daughter-in-law goes through while she lives with her at home. She said, “My daughter-in-law is always rebellious about everything in the house and about living and always looks at me as if I do not love her, which is not true. After I attended the lesson at the TCD women meeting and learned that rebellion is due to a lack of love and dialogue, I made the decision to sit with her, fill her with love, and make her understand that the stubbornness and disobedience she is displaying will affect the entire house. I helped her understand, and now she lives a life of contentment and gratitude. Children will also be able to live in peace when they see a life of contentment in you.”
Thank you,
