A Lesson Learned and a Friendship Saved
December 19, 2023
We continued to deliver the Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons to the community. One of the children, John, participated and explained, “At the beginning of the new school year, I went to class with my friends and found a very short boy named Cyril studying with us in the first year of middle school. I stood with my friends, and we talked bad things about him and bullied him. We were just joking, but he was very hurt and started crying. The next day, he did not come to class. More than a week passed, and we did not see him again. After I remembered what I learned in the TCD class about gossip and bullying—that it hurts others, is sinful, and breaks relationships—I went to him and told him I was sorry. Then he went back to school again, and after that, I stopped bullying and gossiping about my friends.”
Thank you,
