Positive Thinking, Positive Relationships
March 17, 2024
We continued to provide the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program, sharing about the problems of bullying. Stephen shared, “I was happy when I bullied my friends. I had a friend and, on our way to school, I grabbed him by his feet and lifted him up. He fell to the ground, and his clothes got dirty from the ground. My friends and I laughed a lot at him, but he was feeling upset and sad. I felt very happy and I told him, ‘I’m joking with you.’ After I attended the lesson about bullying others, I knew that I had this problem and decided to stop bullying others because it destroys my relationship with my friends and makes me unpopular.”
We continue to offer TCD for our women’s group, and Mrs. Umm Jumana participated. She shared, “In light of the extremely high prices and the high cost of living, when I talk to my friends, they are all afraid of the future. Therefore, I felt afraid of tomorrow and what it would bring us in terms of the many challenges and problems that occur in the families around me. I became afflicted with insomnia and anxiety, but after listening to a TCD lesson on positive thinking, I learned to think and look at things in a positive way, like when I look at the birds flying around me. They do not care about what will happen tomorrow, and they are taken care of. So I left worry behind, and my life was filled with peace as a result of positive thinking.”
