Life Lessons No Matter Your Age
May 6, 2024

We trained 80 women to make soap at a low cost, which will help them start a microbusiness to earn income for their families. Among these women is a woman called Umm Rashad. She said that she began implementing what she learned in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) training, and when the experiment was successful, she began working and selling at a cheaper price than the stores. She began earning money, so she was very happy with the training.
We presented a lesson on violence between children and how to be kind, stop violence, and stop beatings and insults. There was a girl named Maharael who was very violent due to the circumstances of her father’s divorce from her mother. She used to hit her friends and sisters at school, and her reaction was always very harsh. After she heard the lesson, she said, “I want to be calm and love everything around me, but I am not able to. However, I am learning from the leaders and my friends.” After a few days, she went and apologized to her friend and told her, “I am sorry, and I will never do that again.”
Transformational Community Development (TCD) Update

Education
We have been teaching women to make soap at the least cost and effort. We are also teaching women to sew, make hairpieces, and be hairdressers.

Income Generation
10 women were taught to read and were tested. Five of the women received literacy certificates.
Thank you!
