Joy and Peace in This World
July 15, 2024
We continued to provide the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program for children. One child, Nancy, participated and said, “I share all the lessons I learn in the TCD program with 20 of my friends. The last lesson I enjoyed was talking about how to live a better life and enjoy this wonderful world. When I look at the birds, I see them full of life, singing, and building. They make nests and take care of their young. I see the plants and trees around me with their wonderful colors and beautiful fruits. I see the animals, the seas, and the rivers. I can enjoy my life because all these creatures live in this world with me, and I get to care for them and preserve them. I shared the lesson with my friends and encouraged them to share it with others.”
Azza said, “I was coming to the group upset and sad, and I had a feeling of failure and frustration because of my brother’s death and the difficult circumstances we were going through. I was always frustrated when dealing with anyone. After listening to the lesson and being in the TCD meetings, I decided that I had to reject the spirit of sadness that controlled me and my home. I now think about positive things that will push me to joy and peace, not sadness and frustration.”
Thank you,
