Learning New Skill to Generate Income
July 15, 2024
Yohanna and Maryam are young adults who are residents of Koubah Bingo. They have decided to spend their time learning skills that can help them generate Income for themselves and their families in the near future. Mainasara and Fatima are the Transformational Community Development (TCD) workers in Koubah Bingo. In their engagements with the locals, they have always laid emphasis on the need to grow personal finances and ultimately improve personal and family well-being. Yohanna and Maryam have taken the opportunity offered by the TCD Empowerment Program and are now attending sewing lessons taught by Fatima. Both have shown keen interest and a readiness to learn as quickly as possible. Maryam, who is also learning how to make bead jewelry from Fatima, along with tailoring, is already envisioning a business selling ready-to-wear clothes and bead jewelry in Koubah, in neighboring communities, and as far as the city of Ouagadougou.
Thank you!
