Taking Ownership, the Village Solves Its Problem
January 18, 2024
All the villagers were struggling to walk more than two kilometers to bring drinking water to their homes. Our local Transformational Community Development (TCD) Worker Paul, started telling them about the importance of ownership. The village committee took ownership and started working on a water well. Our team helped them with material and resources and the community did a wonderful job building the well.
A village woman said, “It was very hard to carry the water on our head every day, and during the summer and hot weather it was very challenging. Now, I have water at my doorstep. Our village and Water Committee shared with us about the importance of ownership and responsibilities.”
Thank you!
