Healthy Measurements
August 27, 2024
Last month, we did Mid-Upper Arm Circumference Measurements (MUACM). We collected records from 20 children, and all are in green zones. It is a great achievement because in 2019, when we started awareness through Transformational Community Development (TCD) lessons, the children were not as healthy. We distributed plants, sharing knowledge about balanced diets and nutritious food and encouraging people to have kitchen gardens. I also tried to stop the community from using pond water for cooking. At present, 30 families are using well water for cooking.
Transformational Community Development (TCD) Update

Water
We formed a committee with five people, and next week we will do a water test.

Food
TCD lessons help people to understand the importance of having nutritious food. TCD lessons help to eliminate malnutrition from 20 families.

Wellness
People are taking ownership and starting kitchen and flower gardening. They are working on cleanliness. This year I am encouraging 30 families to plant flowers and trees.

Education
Students are improving, they are getting good marks, and rising in rank in the school. Parents are giving good feedback. From this village 80% of students are going to school regularly.
Thank you!
