Mr. Gidiyam has taken an important step toward improving his family’s health and dignity by starting the construction of a toilet and bathroom at his home. His decision to begin construction demonstrates how small actions can lead to meaningful transformation.

Before this change, Mr. Gidiyam’s family did not have proper sanitation facilities at home. Like many families in rural communities, they faced challenges related to hygiene, privacy, and health due to the lack of a toilet and bathroom. Through Transformational Community Development (TCD) discussions and encouragement, he began to recognize the importance of investing in his family’s well-being. Applying the TCD principle of taking ownership of local solutions, he started building a toilet and bathroom using available resources. Although the work is progressing gradually, this first step reflects a growing commitment to creating a healthier home environment.

Mr. Gidiyam plans to continue completing the construction in the coming months. Once finished, the facility will provide greater convenience, dignity, and improved sanitation for his family. He also hopes that his example will encourage other community members to take similar steps toward improving their own households.
