An Exciting Long-Term Impact
April 3, 2024
Rahmadani is one of the few young people from the Polewali community who, through his own hard work and the sacrifice of his parents, was able to earn a college degree. At 27 years old, he is now back in the community and active within the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program.
One side job that he has been able to procure as a result of having a degree is to gather village data to be used by the government in designing social programs. The committee structure of the TCD program has enabled him to perform his duties smoothly. “TCD is overall a better approach with a longer-term impact,” Rahmadani explained.
It is a blessing for the Polewali community that a TCD mindset helps us better utilize available resources from the government. Led by potential young leaders like Rahmadani, we will have an improved, sustainable future.
Thank you,
