In July, Transformational Community Development (TCD) took stock of the situation in Shri Ambra Village, especially in Baha Tola, looking at how villagers live and their economic condition. This was a kind of baseline survey. My goal was not only to see the progress so far, but also to consider solutions. There is no lack of water for consumption, but water is also required for irrigation. There is no other water source like a river or pond, and villagers depend heavily on rainwater for agriculture. In the future, we would like to find some solutions so that they can grow crops throughout the year. Food is also sufficient, but they need to learn more about a balanced diet. Children lack nutrition and need other food varieties. Also, we noticed that there is no playground for children, and they play on the main road, which is highly dangerous. They rely on daily wages by working as labourers in nearby cities and other cultivation fields. A few families are raising goats and other livestock.
