This spring, in the Transformational Community Development (TCD) village of Baribeda, a major challenge was identified regarding children’s education. For a long time, many parents in the community were not taking their children’s schooling seriously. As a result, children were not regularly attending school or receiving a strong educational foundation, which is essential for their growth and future success. This lack of awareness and involvement from parents created a barrier to building a better future for the children.

To address this issue, the TCD committee members actively worked within the village. They organized group discussions and community meetings to raise awareness among parents about the importance of education. Through regular interaction and sharing of ideas, they encouraged parents to understand how schooling can help their children grow stronger and achieve better opportunities in life. These efforts helped gradually change the mindset of families toward education.

As a result of these efforts, progress has begun to show. In the month of April, new school admissions took place, including two children from Baribeda Village. One child, Rosan, who was previously studying in a government school, has now been enrolled by her parents in St. Joseph School in Bara Kutlu for a better educational future. Another child, Sony, was admitted to a government school and is currently in Class One. These steps reflect a positive change in the community’s attitude toward education.
