A Center Reopened
March 30, 2023
The Transformational Community Development (TCD) work has been going well in Shri Ambra. We celebrated Republic Day with the children on January 26th and gave them chocolates. Most villagers did not know why we celebrate Republic Day, so we explained to them that this is the day the Constitution of India was introduced and the nation became a republic nation.
Our hard work paid off to bring children back for free tutoring. This was discontinued a few months ago due to several financial reasons, but we constantly approached parents to send their children, and last month we restarted the tutoring with around ten students coming every day.
In the Bahatola area, we are working to help build a community center. Most of the villagers who are laborers and physical workers have been engaged in building this community hall since the beginning of the year. The hall is mostly completed and will be inaugurated soon.
We may have difficulties in the Shri Ambra area as we might have to shift our office. The owner of the house we are currently using may soon start to live there. However, we are very grateful for the opportunity to work with others and provide the tutoring center. Thank you to GHNI and TCD for the opportunities.
Thank you,
