Transformational Community Development (TCD) is expansive by nature. When impoverished villages experience sustainable transformation their mindset is changed, their heart grows to share their knowledge with those around them. The Mawa Village committee is preparing to do just that.

There are several economically-challenged villages nearby with a number of issues in basic areas of life such as the availability of water, employment, and education opportunities. The GHNI training team and Mawa Village residents visited three more villages this month. They have been sharing their own experience with TCD and gauging interest in launching a new project.

At this stage, they have met with several individuals who have enthusiastically received the team. The next step will be to hold vision seminars where residents in potential communities are taught TCD lessons over two or three days and given the opportunity to decide for themselves if they are ready to mobilize and commit to a project. It is the hope of the GHNI team and the Mawa committee that these seminars will be held in the coming months, and that more families will be on their way to lifting themselves out of poverty.
