Malawi is a warm and friendly landlocked nation in southeast Africa, yet it remains one of the poorest countries in the world, with two-thirds of the population living on less than $2.15 a day. Most families rely on subsistence farming just to survive, creating a profound need for Transformational Community Development (TCD). Sparked by the inspiring momentum and influence of our work in neighboring Zimbabwe, GHNI is now partnering with vulnerable Malawian villages to break the cycle of poverty and pioneer a sustainable path toward self-reliance.
