This April, a visit was paid to Batemone to prepare the community for the conclusion of the Transformational Community Development (TCD) program. A meeting was held with both committees to review their activities, assess progress, and strengthen coordination as we wrap up this final phase. The discussion focused on ensuring the sustainability of ongoing initiatives and encouraging continued community ownership beyond the program’s end.
During the visit, a session of interviews with Mr. Lamboni at his tomato field was held to encourage him in his work. The extreme heat has led to water shortages, and the tomatoes are struggling due to lack of rainfall. He trusts that there will be more rainfall this season so the crops can recover and the community can sustain its harvest.
Thank you!
